Chema Volleyball Club is a community-rooted volleyball club from Juja, where sport, hard work, and local leadership come together to build opportunity.

Our Story

In 2021, Charles Wanyiri and Emma Mungara noticed their staff's deep love for volleyball. After work, friendly games kept growing, and what looked like a hobby revealed discipline, teamwork, joy, and unity.

Ambition

Chema VC is focused on sustained growth in top-level competition while remaining grounded in youth inspiration, empowerment, and pride in community.

Chema VC was built from a real community spark. Instead of dismissing workplace volleyball sessions, the founders supported the players, organized structure around the team, and turned a local movement into a competitive club.

  • 2021: Charles Wanyiri and Emma Mungara backed staff-led volleyball sessions and began organizing the club foundation.
  • 2024: Chema VC joined Kenya's Division 2 volleyball league with a clear target to reach Division 1 in the 2025/2026 window.
  • 2025: The club was crowned Division 2 champions and earned promotion to Division 1.
  • Today: Chema VC continues to inspire young players and build a grassroots sports legacy from Juja.
